A case of REM obstructive sleep apnea with nocturnal panic-like episode as the main symptom

Abstract: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common clinical syndrome. The symptoms such as suffocation and hypoxia that appear at night in patients with OSA are often similar to the symptoms of panic attacks and are easily overlooked, which increases the clinical misdiagnosis rate. A case of REM OSA who was misdiagnosed as a panic attack is reported. The case will be analyzed and discussed in order to raise the awareness and attention to this disease.-
